1. Brief introduction:

Railway tilting wagon, also called dumper wagon or tipper wagon, is a special railway vehicle integrating unloading equipment and wagon structure. Our high-efficiency, heavy-duty tilting wagon is designed for international bulk logistics requiring rapid, labor-saving unloading. Fully compliant with UIC, AAR and other international standards, it is widely used to transport high-density bulk goods such as ore, steel slags, building wastes, coal and railway ballast. With a hydraulic/pneumatic tilting system, robust all-steel structure and easy operation, it realizes automatic unloading, greatly improving efficiency and reducing manual labor for foreign trade bulk cargo transport.

As a dedicated bulk cargo transport vehicle with automatic tilting and unloading capability, our railway tilting wagon adopts an integrated all-steel welded structure, consisting of core components including underframe, tilting body, hydraulic/pneumatic tilting system, bogie, coupler buffer device and braking device. The side dump wagon is with active low side walls; when unloading, the tilting air cylinders will push and tilt the carriages to 45°, and the side wall will be at the same level as the floor, allowing the goods to be unloaded further away from the railway. It is suitable for various gauge lines (1000mm, standard gauge, etc.) and can be customized according to the cargo characteristics, transport needs and local railway standards of different countries and regions. We are able to produce a series of payload side dump wagons with different railway gauges according to customers’ different requirements. The tilting body adopts a reinforced design to ensure stability during tilting and transportation; the advanced tilting control system (optional hydraulic or pneumatic drive) enables smooth, rapid tilting (tilt angle up to 45°), realizing full unloading without residue, and eliminating the need for manual cleaning and auxiliary unloading equipment.

2. Main Structure:

Railway tilting wagon is made of all steel riveted welding structure, and the whole wagon is composed of chassis, carriage, tilting cylinders, tilting pipelines, doors leaf suppression, air braking device, coupler buffer devices, and bogies.

  • The chassis adopts a fully welded steel structure, consisting of end beams, middle beams, and sleeper beams. The end beam is formed by pressing an 8MM sheet metal; The middle beam is composed of two H-beams, upper and lower cover plates, and partitions to form a box shaped fish belly structure. The main structure consists of the middle beam, end beam, and sleeper beam. There are tilting cylinder brackets, square supports, human supports, and other accessories for installing brake and tilting pipelines welded on both sides of the chassis beam.

  • The carriage is composed of a carriage frame, two side doors, and two end walls. The carriage frame is welded together with end beams, middle beams, side beams, crossbeams, and longitudinal beams. The end beams are pressed structures, the middle beams are I-beams, and the longitudinal beams are channel steels. The side door consists of side door hinges, side door panels, and side pillars. The end wall is composed of end columns, corner columns, eaves beams on the end wall, and end wall panels.

  • The tilting device mainly consists of tilting pipeline system, tilting cylinders, door leaf suppression and other parts.The tilting pipeline system consists of an air storage cylinder and various valves. This system is the operating system for tilting and unloading the carriage. By operating the valves, compressed air enters the tilting cylinders to lift the carriage for tilting and unloading. The tilting cylinder adopts a two-stage piston structure, consisting of inner and outer pistons, piston rod tilting cylinder jacket, top iron, etc. The cast iron inner and outer pistons are sealed with rubber cups and pressure rings. 

  • Door leaf suppression is composed of suppression elbows, suppression springs, rollers, etc. It is a follow-up mechanism that controls the opening and closing of side doors, directly determining the vehicle's tilting ability.

  • Air brake system:the railway tilting wagon is equipped with customized air brake systems which are compliant with TB, UIC, GOST or AAR standards.

  • Coupler and draft gear: The coupler and draft gear systems are installed ensure the wagons could be compatible with customer’s exist railway wagons.

  • Bogies: We have series of casting bogies suitable for different gauges, different pay loads.
