• Powerful Performance: This Cobra Impact tamper delivers 1.8Kw power output and 40J impact energy, boasting high working efficiency that enables the Portable Cobra Tamping Pick to handle tough working conditions easily.

• Stable & Durable: Precision gear reduction structure, high-quality components, ensuring long service life and stable operation even in harsh environments.

• Easy Operation: The Portable Cobra Tamping Pick adopts a humanized design with simple startup and operation steps, reducing operator training costs and making the Cobra Impact tamper accessible to most users.

• Energy-saving: Low fuel consumption (1.4-1.6 L/h), cost-effective for long-term use.

4. Working Principle

The working principle of the Cobra Impact tamper is straightforward: Engine power is transmitted from the driven disc to the reduction gearbox. After gear reduction, the rotation of the crankshaft gear drives the connecting rod, piston and inner cylinder to move up and down, impacting the breaking pick of the Portable Cobra Tamping Pick. Energy is transmitted to the pick leg, which exerts high-frequency and high-energy impact on objects, realizing tamping and breaking operations efficiently.

5. Fuel Requirement:

The gasoline engine of the Cobra Impact tamper must use mixed fuel. The volume mixing ratio of gasoline to engine oil is 25:1. Use 92# gasoline and special two-stroke gasoline engine oil (other grades of oil are strictly prohibited) to ensure the stable operation of the Portable Cobra Tamping Pick.

6. Operation Instructions

Operation Stage

Specific Steps

Pre-operation Preparation

1. Inspect and tighten all bolts and threaded connections of the machine. Stop operation immediately and repair if any abnormality is found.

2. Use a mixing jug to mix 92# gasoline and two-stroke engine oil (Great Wall brand, FC or higher grade) at a ratio of 25:1, shake well and fill into the fuel tank.

3. Check the oil level of the impact mechanism. Add SAE15W-40 diesel engine oil when insufficient.

4. Check whether the tamper bit is excessively worn.

Engine Startup & Operation

1. After confirming the machine is in good condition, distinguish between cold start and hot start, then start step by step according to the control panel prompts. Pay attention to the hand fuel pump, choke valve and decompression valve.

2. For hot start, fully open the choke valve to prevent spark plug flooding caused by excessive gasoline mixture. Press the decompression valve before each startup.

3. Hold the throttle with one hand and quickly pull the starter rope with the other. After startup, slowly release the starter handle and open the choke valve.

4. After startup, idle the engine for 2–3 minutes to lubricate all parts.

5. Hold the handle of the Cobra Impact tamper, open the throttle to maximum, and press down the Portable Cobra Tamping Pick for operation. Do not press excessively or fully to the bottom; keep steady pressure. Do not twist the Cobra Impact tamper left and right to avoid damaging the damping spring.

6. When changing operation positions, release the throttle and lift the handle.

Shutdown Procedure

1. Turn the throttle to the minimum position, then push the stop switch outward to shut down the engine.

2. When resting for a long time or not in use, place the tamper flat on the ground to avoid impacting the engine. If shutdown lasts more than two weeks, drain all gasoline from the fuel tank and run the engine until all fuel in the carburetor is consumed.
