Rail fasteners are critical components that connect steel rails to supporting structures. Through these fasteners, the steel rails are firmly secured to sleepers or base plates.
The three mainstream rail fastener systems in China's railway network are the WJ Series (for high-speed ballastless tracks), the Elastic Strip Series (for conventional-speed/ballasted tracks), and the DT/FC Series (for urban rail transit). Their core differences lie in shoulder design, clamping force, and elasticity configuration, which enable them to be adapted to different speed levels, axle loads, and track foundation types.
Maintain and adjust the track gauge and alignment.
Provide longitudinal resistance to prevent rail creep and excessive gap opening in case of rail fracture.
Supply elasticity to reduce vibrations and shocks.
Enhance the rigidity of the track frame to prevent track buckling.
Ensure track insulation for the normal operation of the track circuit.
Possess a certain capacity for vertical adjustment of steel rails.
