1. Brief introduction:

Railway Open Wagon is used to transport general goods like coal, ore, machinery equipment, wood, packed goods, and containers on railroad. It is the most common used railway wagons.

We are able to customized different wagons with different track gauges, different pay loads, different standards, or special functions.

2. Main structure:

Railway open top wagon is mainly composed of wagon body, bogies, brake system, coupler buffers and etc.

  • Wagon body: The wagon body is made of all steel welded structure, consisting of chassis, side walls, end walls, doors and other components. The main steel and plates are made of weather resistant steel, and some small beams and supports are made of Q235-A.
  • Coupler & draft gear:We could install Chinese standard couplers, AAR standard couplers, UIC standard couplers, GOST standard couplers for the open wagons, sot that the open wagon could meet the standards of customer’s railway line.
  • Brake system:According to customers’ existing wagons, we could install air brake systems like Chinese standard 120 type air brake, UIC air brake and AAR standard air brake system.
  • The open wagon is equipped with hand brake machine.
  • Bogie:It adopts ride control 3 piece casting bogie. The material of bolster and side frame is B-grade cast steel. The main friction plate of the composite wedge is made of polymer composite material, and the wedge body is made of bainitic ductile iron. The material of the side frame column wear plate is 45 steel, and the sliding groove wear plate is T10. The bogie adopts two-stage stiffness springs. Using a lower center disk plate with a diameter of φ 355mm, the lower center disk is equipped with a conductive center plate wear disc. It installs railway roller bearings,  axles, and LM wear type solid rolled steel wheels. The basic braking device adopts an austenitic ductile iron lining and a combined braking beam. The braking beam frame is connected to the brake shoe support with steel rivets.
